February 2023
Entitled “February light”, this month’s print is a Risograph print Inspired by Maine’s winter light, the lengthening days, and a tree on a beach in Foulmouth Maine that I was very much in love with.
Printed (by me!) at the lovely Pickwick Press in Portland, Maine

“February light”
We began and ended
the month with snow,
though the latter was
the warmer sort.
Somewhere in the middle,
we became conscious
of the lengthening days.
You could feel everything below
the steadily, graying snow,
starting their whispering
only to be hushed
by thick blankets of cold.

Fluorescent pink layer. One thing that makes the Risograph printer different from other printers is the fluorescent ink
Yellow layer. You must choose your inks carefully because they are slightly transparent and will mix on top of each other.
